Our Mission

Mavericks ELITE first and foremost we want you to feel like you are apart of something more than a basketball team. Here you become apart of the Mavericks family. Our Mission is to field a competitive and dedicated select basketball team that emphasizes player development, sportsmanship, and teamwork. We strive to promote a strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and a passion for the game of basketball in each of our players. While also fostering a positive and inclusive team culture. Our goal is to consistently compete at the highest level and to produce successful student athletes on and off the court. Our goal is NOT to only teach the great sport of basketball but to use basketball as a vehicle to help our players succeed while with Mavericks ELITE and when they move on to college and professional careers. Mavericks ELITE players understand hard work, dedication, attention to detail, TEAM concepts, leadership, and competition. Mavericks ELITE players can't help but make everyone around them better! Mavericks ELITE strives to create superior basketball players and teams, and we have a history (10 years) of producing fantastic young men and women ready to make a positive impact on our community.

Ben Remmers

Coach Ben has been coaching club basketball from the youth to Elite levels for 8 years with the Mavericks. He played at Lafayette High School then transferred to Barat Academy to finish his career, shooting 48% from the 3pt line attempting four 3s a game. He then played 2 years at the collegiate level for College of St. Josephs. And finally played 1 season of semi-pro ball here in Missouri averaging 19ppg.

 

His teams have consistently gotten better over the course of a season. Taking his teams that didnt even place in high level tournaments. To placing in the top 3. Such tournaments include ThreatHoops, PremierHoops, and numerous out of state tournaments

Coach Geoffery Herr

Coach Geoff was born in O’Fallon Missouri. He began playing basketball in the third grade and immediately fell in love with the game. Coach began playing with Mavericks Basketball Center in 7th grade and played with mavericks throughout high school. He attended Barat Academy for High School where he played 4 years of Varsity Basketball and became the All-Time Leading Scorer. Coach Geoff then signed to play basketball at NAIA Central Methodist University on an athletic and academic scholarship. Coach Geoff Redshirted his Freshman year due to shoulder surgery, but while recovering, walked on to also play on the college golf team. Coach decided to leave the basketball team after his sophomore year to pursue coaching. Coach first began coaching with Mavericks in 2018 and is also currently the Head Coach for the Freshman Girls at Saint Dominic High School in Saint Charles. This was his first head coach position for the high school season and went 15-1.

Coach Tristan Brand

Coach Tristan has dedicated the past three years to coaching youth basketball for the Mavericks, working with players from 3rd to 8th grade during the spring and summer seasons, all while balancing his collegiate basketball career in the fall and winter. He played all 4 years of High school At Parkway South High School, and capped off his senior year as an All-Conference and All-District selection, averaging 11.8 points per game with 35% shooting from the field and 32% from beyond the arc. His collegiate playing career spans four years, including one year at Culver-Stockton College, one year at Mineral Area College—where he contributed to a successful 22-9 season—and two years at Central Christian College. During his junior season at Central Christian, Coach Tristan averaged 6.0 points per game while shooting an impressive 45% from both the field and beyond the three-point line, ranking among the top 5 in 3-point percentage across the entire NCCAA.​

Coach Martin Lewis

Coach Martin’s passion for basketball began in New Haven, Missouri, where he earned four varsity letters at New Haven High School. A standout player, he set school records for three-pointers made and attempted, ranked third in career steals, and finished second in assists. Though he received a few offers from some D3 and NAIA programs, Coach Martin chose to attend a larger university to focus on academics and his future.

Unable to stay away from the game, Coach Martin found his calling in coaching, participating in numerous basketball camps in his hometown and sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with young athletes. Known for his high energy and passion about player development, he emphasizes fundamentals, teamwork, and personal growth, helping young men reach their full potential both on and off the court.”
